About Us

The idea of the Paw was spurred by the many people and pets who flock to Southern Minnesota for a premiere pet shopping experience at Pet Expo, Mankato's locally owned pet superstore. So when it was noticed that pets were gathering and socializing at the store, the concept of a full service pet resort in Southern Minnesota was recognized. We wanted to include everything from cat and dog boarding, grooming, daycare, to even having a swimming pool for the dogs, and a canine rehabilitation program too. The inspiration for The Paw also came from our Board of Directors; Zameka, the Rottweiler, and Dakota, the Siberian Husky, who have shared their opinions and dreams with us and have helped to guide us in the realization of this wonderful place for pets to come here for playing and enjoying their own vacations.
